Participation and Contact Information

We are looking for 7- to 15-year-old children to participate in our research in the following groups:

• Typically developing children
• Children with reading disabilities (dyslexia)
• Children with math disabilities (dyscalculia)
• Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Your child cannot participate in our studies if your child has a history of:

• Head injury requiring emergency medical treatment
• Birth complications requiring admission into neonatal intensive care unit
• Prematurity less than 36 weeks
• Hearing impairment or uncorrected visual impairment
• Non-native English speaker

There are four general components to participating:

• Parents fill out questionnaires
• Children are given standardized achievement and ability measures
• Children practice experimental tasks
• Children participate in fMRI or EEG (see below)

All participants are paid for participation and parents are informed of the results of the testing.
