During this session, we'll cover the basics of a personal brand, why it's important and how to develop, refine and communicate your own personal brand. Presented by Andrea Scott, VP of Talent at Imagination, a custom content agency based in Chicago.
Personal branding is the process by which we market ourselves to others. As you embark upon the job search process, it's easy to put the focus on your application materials and send out as many resumes as possible. However, in this competitive talent landscape, employers are looking for more than just a solid resume and cover letter. Employers are looking for candidates who are able to present themselves, their unique talents and abilities in a clear and consistent manner, and in a way that stands out from other candidates.
Meet WGN Anchor Mark Suppelsa & attend SAG-AFTRA breakout session on how to negotiate your first broadcast contract.
April 10, 2 - 3 p.m., Armadillo Room, Norris (2nd floor)
Open to ALL Interested Northwestern Students and Alumni - NO RSVP Required
This session, “Broadcasting Contracts: Top 10 Personal Service Contract Provisions"", is designed to give you information about how to navigate your first contract as a broadcaster. Representatives from SAG-AFTRA, including SAG-AFTRA member & WGN anchor, Mark Suppelsa, will discuss the top 10 personal service contract provisions you need to be aware of before you sign your contract. This session is open to broadcast students from Medill and the School of Communication. No RSVP required.
