Chuck Kleinhans’ research interests include independent film and video, including radical, feminist, and black independent work; subculture reception of mass culture; US culture in the third world; sexual representation in experimental film and video, and in stigmatized sexual subcultures. He is the co-editor, founder and publisher of Jump Cut: A Review of Contemporary Media; 1974-present. Jump Cut content ranges from reportage and reviews to original research and analytical articles. Originally published annually, it circulated 4000+ copies per issue nationally and internationally in print. In 2001 it became a web-based publication at www.ejumpcut.org.
