International Media Seminar
Students with interests in media, news and international communications were invited to join in the 13th annual International Media Seminar (IMS) in Paris during spring break. Sponsored by the School of Communication and in cooperation with the Paris Center for the Study of International Communications and the American University of Paris, the program has proven to be a great hit, as participants have been able to combine a springtime week in Paris with a unique chance to talk with prominent international media figures. Join us for our next trip to Paris - March 22 - March 26, 2010.
Current session chairman Lee Heubner, Northwestern University alumnus and former Communication Studies and Journalism professor started the IMS program along with James Ettema, Media Technology & Society and MSC Strategy professor. Through the years, enrollment has ranged from about 25 to 60 students — small enough so that we have been able to get to know one another well, a factor which has contributed to the enjoyment and the value of the trip.
