All-school Beach Party welcomes students, faculty, and staff to a new year

The School of Communication hosts its first annual Beach Party welcome party Thursday, Sept. 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. for all SoC students, faculty, and staff and their families.

The event features Chicago-themed foods and a last chance to use Northwestern's North Beach before the season is over.

The free event includes Chicago-themed foods like hot dogs, Italian beef, and vegetarian options; drinks; desserts. Guests can play volleyball, throw a Frisbee (equipment provided), dance to music provided by WNUR, Northwestern's student-run radio station, or visit with friends, fellow SoC students, and the school's faculty and administration.

Students in attendance are eligible for door prizes that include an Apple iPad, an Apple iTouch, and amazon.com gift certificates.
