Paul LeonardiPaul Leonardi received his PhD from Stanford University in Management Science and Engineering. Leonardi’s teaching and research focus on issues pertaining to the design and implementation of new technologies, global product development and the management of engineering work. His work on these topics cuts across the fields of Organization Studies, Communication Studies and Technology Studies. Leonardi teaches Managing Information & Innovation in the MSC curriculum. Among his awards are the 2007 Allen and Johnnie Breed Junior Chair of Design, McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Northwestern University and the 2008 Gerald R. Miller Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, National Communication Association.

Managing Information & Innovation

This course is designed to provide students with a mix of approaches and techniques to manage technological innovation and change within their organizations. The course examines how teams and organizations can be designed to promote innovation, discusses strategies that encourage or impede effective product development, and explores practices used to implement new technologies and drive change.
