Student Life
MSC students are eligible for a discounted membership to NU athletic facilities offering a variety of fitness, recreational, and sporting opportunities.
The Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art offers focused visual arts programming for the NU community and the greater Chicago area. The Museum mounts several exhibitions a year, organizes numerous lectures, symposia, and workshops with artists and scholars, and screens classic and contemporary films at Block Cinema.
Northwestern CareerNet allows you to search an online database to connect with alumni who are interested in sharing their career knowledge and experiences. With Northwestern CareerNet you can conduct an online search to find names and contact information of alumni who meet your search criteria; ask alumni contacts about specific occupations or specialties, trends in their industries, specific companies, and more; and create a Personal Notebook of your key networking contacts.
University Career Services offers free career counseling catered specifically to current graduate students. Career counseling is a confidential and supportive process through which you and your counselor work together to explore career options and make career decisions. You will work at your own pace on the parts of the career planning process appropriate to your needs.
Events
The MSC program regularly organizes social events and activities. Generally, the program covers the cost of sponsored activities, though occasionally a special event will require a student fee. To view other campus-wide events, see the PlanIt Purple Events Calendar.
Food
Class break refreshments offered in Frances Searle and lunch at Kellogg's Executive Allen Center are provided each class day for MSC students. This cost is included in the MSC Program tuition.
NU Health Services provide quality physical and mental care to NU students. MSC students are eligible for Aetna Student Health Insurance. To enroll MSC students must submit the part-time application form and a check for the full amount of coverage.
