Course of Study
Coursework requirements vary and are individually designed for the different areas of study within the department. Students working toward the PhD who begin graduate work with a bachelor's degree typically require about two years to complete the MA degree and three additional years to complete the PhD. Students who begin with a master's degree from another institution typically require four years to complete the PhD.
