Featuring the original works of Northwestern’s acclaimed national and international faculty and celebrated guest artists, Danceworks 2010 is an eclectic celebration of tap, jump rhythm jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary forms. Under the artistic direction of award-winning Northwestern faculty member Susan A. Lee, this annual audience favorite promises an evening that is whimsical and evocative, dramatic and defiant.

“Danceworks 2010,” an annual showcase of the choreography of Northwestern University’s nationally renowned dance faculty, alumni and guest artist, has something special to celebrate this year — the 30th anniversary of the School of Communication’s Dance Program.
In addition to the choreography of Jeffery Hancock, Archana Kumar, Susan A. Lee, Billy Siegenfeld, Molly Shanahan, Joel Valentin-Martinez and Meghann Wilkinson during seven performances, a 30th anniversary Danceworks 2010 Gala concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, also will include performances by choreographers Hancock, Shanahan, Siegenfeld and Brandi Coleman.
