STICK FLY: a staged reading
A new play by Lydia R. Diamond
Directed by Henry Godinez
Presented by the Theatre and Interpretation Center in partnership with Northwestern University MLK Day 2012
January 16
2:30 p.m. Mon.
Josephine Louis Theater, 20 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston
It was a relaxing weekend on Martha’s Vineyard for the LeVay family … until the baggage got unpacked. When two adult sons independently choose to introduce their girlfriends to the parents on the same weekend, sibling rivalries flare, opinions clash, class distinctions divide and family secrets unravel. See an abridged staged reading of this wickedly funny, endlessly surprising new play by School of Communication ’92 alum Lydia R. Diamond, who is also a faculty member of Boston University and has had her works produced across the country. The show is currently being produced by Alicia Keys and directed by Kenny Leon on Broadway.
A brief reception will be held in the Louis Theater lobby immediately following the reading.
