First up:  MFA in Writing for Screen+Stage student Kate Royal interviews MFA in Writing for Screen and Stage alumna Jenny Hagel about her time at NU, her various writing gigs, and her current gig working with NU SOC alum Seth Meyers.

Jenny Hagel is a TV writer and comedy performer in New York City. She currently writes for Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC). Other writing credits include Impractical Jokers (TruTV), Big Gay Sketch Show (Logo), Ladylike (MTV) and Head Writer of White Guy Talk Show (Fuse). Prior to working in TV, Jenny spent five years writing and performing sketch comedy at Second City in Chicago. Jenny lives in Brooklyn, because she’s a lesbian mom, so that’s where she’s required to live by law.

Jenny will be a part of the MFA Writing for Screen+Stage/EPICS panel, Late Night Comedy and Beyond on May 12, at 3p.m.
